Learn from renowned dance artist Sooraj Subramaniam as he leads a captivating professional development event. Immerse yourself in this event tailored by Sooraj for South Asian dance tutors and professionals.

Sooraj Subramaniam is an Australian-Belgian dancer with Malaysian-Indian roots. His professional career spans several continents and cultures enriching his extensive experience and expertise. Trained in Bharatanatyam and Odissi at the Suta Dance Theatre in Malaysia, Suraj honed his skills in classical ballet under the guidance of Stella Johnson. He graduated from the prestigious Western Australia Academy for Performing Arts (WAAPA).

What to expect:

• Masterclass exploring creative techniques, fusing classic form with contemporary expression.

• Networking with fellow dance educators, sharing insights and experiences in a supportive and inspiring environment.

• Meet our Yuva Gati team and gain insight into the national training scheme for South Asian dance. Discuss ideas, experiences and aspirations for the programme.

• Tickets for us all to watch Mehek by Aakash Odedra Company and Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company later in the evening.
